Block is the first line of defense against smesh. It is usually done by more than one front row player and is used to stop the ball crossing the net and smash out to deflect the opponent's court.
TYPE OF BLOCK
As mentioned earlier, you can have a two or three players block before the court. A good block should be able to move along quickly and efficiently nets, jump in the right place, at the right time and can read the smash.
HOW TO APPROPRIATING
Players should be close to the net and shoulders parallel to the net, feet shoulder width apart, back straight and hands in front of the shoulder.
Blockers should be prepared to move along the net to be in the correct position. This must be where the attacker is expected to hit the ball across the net. To move on the side, side stepping is a form of the quickest and best movements.
